Angel and Louis are also back creating their own revenge, and helping Charlie out as usual. The racial tension is a key feature of this book and Charlie has to work through it to solve the case. Connolly handles the racial aspect well, and doesn't overstep the mark.
While slow to start, fans of the Charlie/Angel/Louis relationship will be delighted to be embarking on another adventure.
Connolly is making a claim for the best crime writer around...and he makes a damn good case for it.
