It's your basic murder story involving a good girl who gets in way over her head when her research goes a little too far - with deadly consequences.
The final events are still sketchy, as the killer keeps changing his story and Biggar is dead, and they're the only two witnesses to the final moments of Biggar's life. The events are drawn out in precise detail and the reader's attention is kept by the author adding their opinion of the situations to give the novel that extra insight. This case was featured on an episode of NEW DETECTIVES, so there's lots of material to hope flesh out the whole story.
A sound character study of one man's inhumanity to another.
