St. Mina

St. Mina
Pope Kyrellos VI
H.G. Bishop Mina Ava Mina

In the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit, One God. Amen
St Mina was at a very young age after his parents pasted away, he lost his father at 11, and his mother at 14 years of age. St Mina joined the army, after reaching 19 years of age a circular was sent out throughout the army in the year 303 A.D. that required the worshipping of idols. St. Mina had a very rich inheritance and a very high and noble rank in the army, besides this St. Mina decided to distribute his wealth among the poor, and quit the army.    St. Mina then headed to the desert, leading a life of solitude for 5 years, and attaining 3 crowns 1 for celibacy, 1 for ascetic life, & 1 for martyrdom. Then St. Mina returned from the desert, and being recognised by a few soldier's & after they knew he was a christian, they proceeded to torture him to make him deny his faith.    After being tortured by many methods it was ordered to have his head cut off & his body burned in fire, so St. Mina recieved the crown of martyrdom, his body was in the fire for three days but it was unaffected.    St. Mina has performed many miracles, which are still occuring to this day, even so that the church has refered to St. Mina as the miracle performer.    St. Mina is always mentioned with Pope Kyrellos VI, because the pope always had a great love for the St. Mina, so that he established St. Mina's monastery, the Pope was also a great saint in the church, and a worker of miracles through Our Lord Jesus. The last Abbot of the monastery of Saint Mina was H.G. the late Bishop Mina Ava Mina. May their prayers be with us all, and glory be to God forever. Amen.
